New Jersey National Guard Family Youth Support Foundation

Committed to Empowering Military Youth, One Connection at a Time

Why give?

Your support makes a difference. The New Jersey National Guard Family Youth Support Foundation relies on the generosity of donors like you to fulfill our mission of empowering military-affiliated youth. These children face unique challenges, such as frequent relocations, extended separations from loved ones, and the stresses of military life.

By contributing, you help fund vital programs that provide leadership training, community-building activities, and resources to foster resilience and growth. Every donation directly impacts the lives of these incredible young individuals, helping them build confidence, find connection, and realize their full potential.

Together, we can honor their sacrifices by giving them the support they deserve. Join us in shaping a brighter future for our military-affiliated youth.

“Our daughter had a fantastic time and has commented since coming home that she really misses everyone. That says a lot about the way the camp was run and the friendships nurtured while she was there. Thank you for being a part of great memories for her and she is excited to return next year!”
— Christine T., NJARNG Parent/Spouse
“CAMP HAS HELPED my daughter break out of her shell, try new things, become independent and make friends who she has a lot in common with! It’s hard to understand what a military child
goes through and to be able to connect with other children who experience the same is LIFE CHANGING, especially for kids who don’t live on base! Camp may only be a week long, but the impact it has is SIGNIFICANT!”
— FY23 Soldier Parent Satisfaction Survey Response
“I feel it gives my daughter an outreach and a network, something we don’t necessarily have off base. Being part of the CYP AND SFRG has helped our family have a better understanding of military life.”

Volunteer Testimonials

“New Jersey National Guard Youth Camp has been a life-changing experience for me since I first attended at 9 years old. Now, celebrating my 23rd summer at camp, I can confidently say it’s one of the most rewarding programs I’ve ever been part of. Camp taught me confidence and independence, helped me build lifelong friendships, and inspired me to develop leadership skills that shaped who I am today.

As one of only five states that continues to host youth camps for military children, this program holds a special place in my heart. There’s no better way to support and celebrate our military families than through this amazing program!”

— Brianna Butters, Director of Campers and Counselors
“NJNGYC was always the highlight of my summer! I’m so grateful for the friends I made and the valuable social skills I gained along the way.”

— Maddie Colavita, Counselor
“Thank you dearly for giving me one of the best experiences I will ever be able to experience and for all the demanding work you and many others put into this week. I know myself, the Silvey family, and many other counselors all consider this to be the best week of their year. I look forward to seeing you next year for camp 2025!”
— Jeb Silvey, Counselor
